Book Fair

This year’s Book Fair will be held from Tuesday, November 4th through Tuesday, November 12th.

Our Book Fair boasts hundreds of new and gently used books in English and French, many of which are selected because of their alignment to the MCPS curriculum.

Maryvale students and parents have the opportunity to purchase books at the book fair. Each class will get a chance to visit the book fair and make wish lists.

You can also buy books from the fair online.

E-Wallet is New Service to Help Manage Kid’s Book Fair Funds

Hey parents!! There is a new e-Wallet feature and it is TERRIFIC!!!! If you don’t like sending your child to school with cash, this is a great option for you.

When you create an e-Wallet, the amount you select as your student’s spending limit will appear as a temporary hold (or pending charge) on your credit card and will be reflected in your available balance. You will only be charged for what is purchased, and after the book fair ends, the hold will expire and the funds will be released back to your credit card. There’s no need to print anything because we simply use the student’s name, grade, or teacher to connect to their e-Wallet at the Book Fair.

To create an e-Wallet (one per student), visit our Book Fair homepage and click the “Get Started” link to Go Cash Free. (It can’t be created until after October 21st.)

View “How-to” Video for E-Wallet.

Book Fair Volunteers & Donations

We cannot put on the Book Fair without your help! Please volunteer through our Sign Up Genius, even if only for an hour, and show your support for our kids and our school. Middle school and High school students volunteering for SSL hours should add a comment that they are volunteering for SSL hours.
