The first PTA meeting is the evening of Tuesday September 10th at 7 pm in the Maryvale Media Center. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and find out more about what the PTA does. Earle B Wood’s PTA Mums Sale
Get ready for Fall by supporting Earle B Wood’s PTA 2nd ever Mums Sale. Their mums come from a local Maryland wholesaler, Catoctin Mountain Growers. They are all selected to be at optimal blooming time, meaning they will look great on your porch. They will be taking online orders until Monday, September 16th. Mums will be available for pick up on Saturday September 21st, from 8 AM- 11 AM. Mail-in Orders are due September 16th. See https://www.woodmsmums.org to order. There is NO SHIPPING with our fundraiser. The Shipping Address is for credit card verification all mums are for pick-up only.
Is your child struggling to read? Are you worried because your child is behind in reading and you aren’t sure how to get your child the right help?
We’re the Montgomery County Chapter of Decoding Dyslexia Maryland. We are parent led advocacy group concerned about reading instruction and intervention for all struggling readers, including dyslexic students.

Struggling Reader Simulation (6:45-7:45 pm)
Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a struggling reader? Come join us for a “Struggling Reader Simulation” led by literacy experts. This simulation will help participants gain insight on what it is like to struggle with reading in the classroom. This is not for children.
Planning for Upcoming Year (7:45-9:00 pm)
We’ll recap last year’s successes, update on summer conversations with MCPS, and organize efforts for this upcoming year.
