School Readiness Checklist

Here is a checklist of things to help make sure you are equipped with the information you need to have a successful year:

1. Join the Maryvale PTA

Register online or download and fill out the paper form. Pay dues through Square or Paypal.

2. First PTA Meeting

The first PTA meeting is the evening of the first day of school – Tuesday September 4th at 7 pm in the Maryvale media center. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and find out more about what the PTA does.

3. Subscribe to the Maryvale PTA listserv

Keep up to date with the latest news and information by subscribing to the PTA listserv.

4. School Supplies Lists

Purchase recommended school supplies for English Instruction students or French Immersion students.

5. School and PTA Calendar

You can view the school calendar and the PTA calendar to see what events are upcoming.

6. School Lunch Account

Add money to your child’s lunch account at www.myschoolbucks.com.

7. Parent Handbook

The Maryvale Parent Handbook is a great resource if you have questions about the school.

Boo Hoo/Yahoo Breakfast

Parents are welcome to join us in the cafeteria for doughnuts and coffee at 9:25 am after dropping off their students for the first day. This is a good opportunity to meet other parents, especially for parents of Kindergarten students.

Movie Night at 6:30 pm Friday September 7th

The PTA is hosting a movie night at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria. Pizza and snacks will be available for purchase at 6:30 pm and the movie will start at 7 pm. We will announce the movie being shown later this week.

Fall Fling

The 15th Annual Fall Fling Carvinal and Silent Auction needs your help to be a success. The Fall Fling will be held on Saturday October 27th from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Michael & Son Sportsplex at Rockville. Families can help us offset the cost of our carnival by sponsoring activities. All family sponsors will have their name advertised. Your donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE! Check which activities you want to sponsor on this SignUpGenius and submit payment on our website.
