Book Fair This Week 11/6 – 11/10

Yee haw! It’s Maryvale’s Book Fair time! The time to celebrate reading and support school programs sponsored by the PTA. The Maryvale Book Fair boasts hundreds of new and gently used books in English and French, many of which are selected because of their alignment to the MCPS curriculum.

Students who want to visit the book fair outside of class visit time will need to be accompanied by a parent or have a permission slip and money.

We still need volunteer help for some time slots. For the class visit schedule and to volunteer, please visit our webpage.

Gaithersburg MS Shadow Day on 11/9 & 11/10

5th Grade Immersion students are invited to A Day at Gaithersburg Middle School sponsored by the GMS French Immersion Program.

Parents can send their children on the middle school buses that service the Immersion students. There is a space on the permission form for students to write their bus numbers. Students that turn their forms in on time will receive passes. This is a great way for parents and students to begin to familiarize themselves with the routes and process for next year. Also, the Principal Coffee is a great way for parents to come in and meet the GMS principal.

For more information, see the flyer distributed to 5th grade Immersion students.
