We are accepting nominations for PTA officers and board members for the 2017-2018 school year. Nominations are due by April 20th and elections will be held at the May 2nd PTA meeting. Cougars on Computers Extended to May 17

Cougars on Computers will not end on March 29 but has been extended until Wednesday May 17.

Schematic Design Meeting for Maryvale & Carl Sandberg

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is scheduled to begin the Schematic Design Phase for the Maryvale Elementary/Carl Sandberg Learning Center Colocation project. The purpose of these meetings is to develop a preliminary design for the school project. Participants will include representatives of the school, PTA, neighbors, government agencies, the design architects, and staff from MCPS Division of Construction.

Work Session #1: Thursday April 20, 2017 at 4:30 pm
Work Session #2: Thursday April 27, 2017 at 7:00 pm

MCCPTA Performing Arts Festival

On Saturday April 29th, 2017 the Montgomery County Council of Parent-Teacher Associations will hold its 6th Performing Arts Festival on the Rockville Town Square Stage from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. This year the festival will feature 37 performances by students providing a variety of dance and musical entertainment. The festival features student performance groups from dozens of MCPS schools.

The event will feature over 400 student performers and offers a wide range of cultural and modern artistic talent. The performances feature dance and musical performances, including traditional Chinese and classical Indian dance, Hip-Hop dance, Bollywood Indian dance, African dance, Broadway musicals (including both Mulan and Beauty and the Beast), modern dance, and several step teams. The musical performances include jazz and light rock, choral groups, strings, and a-capella groups.
